About Albarracín
Albarracín is a fortified medieval mountain village in the province of Teruel, Aragon, perched dramatically on an isolated rocky bend carved by the Guadalaviar River at an altitude of 1,182 metres. Frequently voted Spain’s most beautiful village, Albarracín is famous for its distinctive pinkish-red plaster buildings colored by local iron oxide clay, hanging wooden balconies, and the colossal stone Murallas de Albarracín (Medieval Walls) scaling the jagged ridge above.
