International airport ~12 km from city center with direct flights from major European cities. Connected to downtown by frequent Airport Bus A3247 (20-25 min ride, ~€3) running every 20 minutes 6am-midnight. Taxis cost €25-30 (~15 min). Designed by Santiago Calatrava, nicknamed La Paloma.

Accessibility measures include an upper parking/viewpoint for limited mobility access, accessible public toilets in the main square, and two fully accessible beaches (Playa Ancha and Playa Chica) with ramps, adapted showers, amphibious chairs, and assistance staff

Casares itself is best explored on foot – the village is compact (but steep). Expect slopes and stairs in the old town. Walking trails connect to scenic spots (e.g., signed paths to Sierra Crestellina viewpoints) for those seeking hikes right from the village

Public transit is limited. A local bus (M-77) runs twice daily between Casares and Estepona. Estepona has connections to Málaga and other cities. Timetable planning is crucial due to infrequent service; alternatively, use taxis for last-mile from nearest towns

Easiest approach – Casares is a 15 km drive inland from the coastal A-7 (exit at km 147). Roads are paved but winding mountain terrain. Car allows exploration of nearby villages and the coast; free public parking lots are available at village entrances

Fly into Málaga Airport (AGP, ~95 km away) for most international connections, or Gibraltar Airport (GIB, ~45 km) for a closer regional option. From Málaga, drive or take a bus to Estepona then on to Casares; from Gibraltar, cross into Spain and drive north
