Ribera del Duero
One of Spain's most prestigious wine regions, situated along the Duero River in Castile and León. The region has a continental climate with extreme temperature variations that create optimal conditions for growing Tempranillo grapes (locally called Tinto Fino or Tinta del País). Established as a DO in 1982, Ribera del Duero has quickly risen to prominence for its powerful, complex red wines that rival those of Rioja. The region's vineyards are planted at high altitudes (up to 1,000 meters), contributing to the wines' distinctive balance of fruit, acidity, and structure.

Rueda
A wine region in the heart of Castile and León known primarily for its distinctive white wines made from the indigenous Verdejo grape. Located on the high plains south of the city of Valladolid, Rueda benefits from a continental climate with significant day-night temperature variations that help preserve acidity in the grapes. The region received DO status in 1980 and has become Spain's leading producer of quality white wines. The sandy, limestone-rich soils are ideal for Verdejo, producing aromatic, crisp whites with notes of citrus, herbs, and a characteristic bitter finish.
