About Figueres
The birthplace of surrealist master Salvador Dalí and home to the world-famous Dalí Theatre-Museum, designed by the artist himself. This historic Catalan city dates back to the Visigoth period and played a crucial role in Spanish history as the site where the Republican government held its final Civil War meeting.
